David Handwork Biography
David Handwork was named the Chief Engineer for United Commercial Energy Partners, LLC in January 2022. David brings over 30 years of facilities operation, energy efficiency, and capital construction knowledge to the UCEP leadership and operations team.
David’s 30 years of professional experience includes major capital construction management in higher education and food processing, engineering design, and management of multiple teams of professionals. His professional leadership in ASHRAE, APPA, CAPPA, and other organizations is a testament of commitment to advancing and promoting the field of facilities management. David’s notable accomplishments include facilities operation efficiencies resulting in 20% budget reallocation, university campus energy efficiency reducing net Energy Use Index (EUI) from +130 kBTU/sqft/yr to 94 kBTU/sqft/yr, and completing over $300 million of capital construction projects during his career.
